Energy efficiency upgrades that pair well with exterior work
Exterior remodeling is a great time to improve comfort and efficiency because you’re already working on the envelope.
Upgrades to consider:
- attic insulation improvements (big impact on comfort)
- ventilation strategy (so heat and moisture don’t get trapped)
- air sealing at penetrations and transitions
- high-performance windows/doors when existing units are drafty or noisy
- cool roof options where appropriate (reduces heat gain and can make upper floors more comfortable)
Efficiency doesn’t have to look “techy.” Most of the best upgrades are invisible—but you feel them every day.
