- [ ] If changing opening size: coordinate structural and permitting
Install details (most important)
- [ ] Proper flashing integration with weather barrier
- [ ] Proper sill pan / drainage detail
- [ ] Correct sealants (used where appropriate, not as a substitute for flashing)
- [ ] Clean transitions at stucco/siding
After install
- [ ] Water test (as appropriate) before closing finishes
- [ ] Confirm door operation + smooth tracks
- [ ] Confirm weep/drainage paths remain clear
