Instead of obsessing over the classic triangle, design zones:
- Prep zone (clear counter + trash + knives + sink access)
- Cooking zone (range + hood + spices + oils)
- Clean‑up zone (sink + dishwasher + dish storage)
- Storage zone (pantry + fridge + small appliances)
- Social zone (seating, beverage station, coffee bar)
The goal is to keep the cook’s workflow tight while giving everyone else space to exist.
